Pools

Pool work is a long-standing Bridgewater specialty. We've installed dozens of pools across residential, hotel, and commercial properties in BC. The experience goes back more than four decades. The work runs under different conditions than standard interior tile. Constant water exposure, chemical treatment, temperature variation, and barefoot traffic on wet surfaces all change material selection, setting method, and grout specification.

Tolerances on a pool job run to the millimetre. Holes for fixtures fit to the millimetre. Every dimension measures to the millimetre.

That kind of precision is the line between installers who can do this work and those who can’t.

Past pool work includes the Four Seasons Hotel Whistler (spa and pool), the Shangri-La Hotel and Residence (indoor pool), the Rosewood Hotel Georgia (indoor pool and spa amenities), Gilmore Place (extensive pool and sauna area), and a Vancouver custom residence in Old Shaughnessy (indoor pool with water features and steam room).

The work spans indoor hotel and resort pools, residential pools and spas, commercial aquatic facilities, and exterior pool decks.

Current pool work includes the Campbell River and Cameron-Burnaby projects.

Wet-area membranes for pools, spas, steam rooms, and exterior water features are installed in coordination with the project’s waterproofing and building envelope requirements.

Pool decks, spa surrounds, and wet-area transitions take finishes that meet slip-resistance standards under wet conditions. Membrane continuity, drain integration, and material selection that accounts for barefoot traffic, chemical exposure, and drainage slope are confirmed before tile installation proceeds.

Bring us your pool specs.

Pools live or die on the millimetre, and on the curves, large surfaces, and waterproofing that have to hold for decades. It’s specialty work, and the only way to get it right is experience. Tell us about your scope and we’ll tell you what we can hold to.
